REP East Asia

Chen is an associate professor of Institute of Soil Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nanjing, China. He now works as the project coordinator of the East Asia Regional Engagement Partner (REP) of Future Earth Coasts (FEC). He has joined FEC as the project coordinator of International Project Office (China) at Yantai Institute of Coastal Zone Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences since 2018. His research mainly focuses on the coastal soil pollution and bioremediation, as well as the interaction of micro/nano-plastics and biofilms. He serves as senior associate editor for International Journal of Phytoremediation, and as associate editor for Frontiers in Soil Science.
