Prof. Xin received his PhD from Hohai University in 2009 and then worked at University of Queensland for five years. He joined Hohai University in 2014 and is now an academic leader in the State Key Laboratory of Hydrology-Water Resources and Hydraulic Engineering. He is an associate editor for Water Resources Research and a member of the academic committee of Hohai University. His research interests are in coastal hydrodynamics and geomorphology, with a research record emphasizing surface water and groundwater interactions, eco-morphology of coastal wetlands and submarine groundwater discharge. He has published more than 80 papers with most of them appeared in top international journals such as Reviews of Geophysics, Geophysical Research Letters and Water Resources Research.
