The first Lagoons Forum workshop took place in the Marine and Renewable Energy (MaREI) centre, Environmental Research Institute (ERI), University College Cork (UCC) in 12-14th September 2017.
Structured around three themes and based on keynote presentations, the workshop participants engaged in round-the-table and small-group discussions to discuss:
- Lagoon monitoring and management issues
- The potential of Earth Observation for coastal lagoon monitoring and management
- Challenges posed and potential identified solutions towards future research.
The workshop outputs will be summarised in a report, which will be made available on this website in due time.
