Future Earth Coasts (FEC) is excited to welcome Prof. Dr. Anik Bhaduri as the newest member of the FEC Academy. He is an environment and resource economist with more than twenty years of experience in research specializing in environmental assessments, natural resource allocation, and evaluation of adaptation strategies under climate change.
Prof. Dr. Anik Bhaduri
Prof. Bhaduri is currently the Director of Future Earth’s Sustainable Water Future Programme (Water Future) and serves as the Co-chair of Future Earth-Asia. Prof. Bhaduri also serves as a senior expert consultant at UNESCO and helps prepare standardized guidelines for national water assessment. Previously, he was on secondment to the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the UN, Rome, as a senior expert consultant to develop the methodology for the FAO flagship report on the State of Land and Water for Agriculture (SOLAW21).
Prof. Bhaduri’s involvement with the FEC network is highly anticipated as his expertise and experience are expected to bring invaluable insights to the FEC network. His expertise in environmental assessments, natural resource management, and climate adaptation strategies will play a crucial role in shaping FEC’s future work. We are confident that Prof. Bhaduri’s contributions are set to advance FEC’s mission to support healthy coasts and oceans, ensuring a just and environmentally sustainable future.
