Taking place between 20-23rd March 2018 in Athens, Greece, the 8th European Coastal Lagoons Symposium (EuroLag8) will be organised by the Hellenic Centre for Marine Research (HCMR) and focus on the following themes:

(1) Coastal lagoon evolution, functions and climate change

(2) Biodiversity and water quality

(3) Fisheries and aquaculture

(4) Goods and services, conservation, management and sustainable use

(5) European networks and projects in transitional areas and lagoons
