Dr. Mafuwane Hluphi Constance

Dr. Mafuwane works as a researcher and postdoc at Tshwane University of Technology’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Innovation.

She has experience in both the developed country and South Africa’s private and public sectors. Her areas of expertise are pollution, water management, and biological invasion. She is a social entrepreneur’s mentor, Teacher, Researcher ,an author, a motivational speaker, a member of the Cactus working group,  Active member of EFM, SRI and SASUF member and an FEC Fellow. Her European Union-funded secondment was completed at Bocconi University in Italy. Between 2002 and 2011, she oversaw 21 SMMEs. She successfully oversaw a GIS team in 2018 while working on a school garden nutrition community engagement project for the province of Mpumalanga.

Dr. Mafuwane is qualified with the following attributes. Project management, environmental science diploma, DBA, MBA, and BTech in management. Dr. Mafuwane’s current areas of interest in study are biological invasion, SMMEs, land use/cover changes, climate change impacts, and ecological restoration of freshwater wetland ecosystems.
