Invitation to Monsoon School: Generating Impact in Coastal and Marine Research

Join us at the Monsoon School on “Generating impact in complex coastal and marine contexts: co-design and development of transdisciplinary research projects in a Global North/South perspective,” hosted by the International Ocean Institute Germany (IOI) in collaboration with the Leibniz-Centre for Tropical Marine Research (ZMT) and supported by Future Earth Coasts (FEC). This virtual training, taking place from November 1st to November 10th, 2023, is designed for PhD candidates and post-doctoral scientists globally.

The Monsoon School focuses on co-designing transdisciplinary research projects for maximum societal impact, especially within Global North/South collaborations. Participants can expect a comprehensive program involving daily lectures, hands-on group exercises, and valuable networking opportunities. Through this, you can refine your abilities in project co-design, stakeholder engagement, and effective scientific communication.

Experience 8 days of intensive interaction with international academics, practitioners, and communication experts. This immersive experience will provide you with valuable insights into research quality, inequality management, and crafting impact pathways. Furthermore, you’ll have the chance to apply your knowledge to real-world coastal and marine case studies under expert guidance.

The Monsoon School, free of charge for participants, is made possible by the support of IOI and ZMT, with the contribution of Future Earth Coasts (FEC). Don’t miss this opportunity to amplify your research impact.
